Requirements
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of at least 12 semester units in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development, specifically covering: Child Growth and Development, Child, Family, and Community, ECE Curriculum.
- At least 6 months of experience at a licensed preschool (minimum of 3 hours per day for 50 days).
- Individuals who possess a CDA credential may have also completed the required six months of work experience.
- A teacher must have completed, with passing grades, at least six postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units of the education requirement specified in (c)(1) below, or obtained a Child Development Assistant Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

- Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder.
- Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
- Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.
