About The Position

This position is for a Before and After School Program (B.A.S.E.) Aide at Dix Street Elementary. The role involves working with children during before and after school hours, with additional hours available on delayed start days, snow days, school breaks, and teacher in-service/conference days. Summer hours are also available, totaling 30 hours per week with times to be determined.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Must have earned a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Meet DHS requirements: Physical/TB.
• Pass a background check/fingerprints upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with childcare/education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in activities during before and after school programs.
• Provide care and support to children.
• Work additional hours on delayed start Wednesdays, snow days, 2-hour delays/school breaks, and teacher in-service/conference days.
• Work summer hours (30 hours/week, times TBD).
