About The Position

This position is for a Before and After School Program (B.A.S.E.) Aide at Dix Street Elementary. The role involves working with children during before and after school hours, including early mornings, afternoons, and potentially during school breaks, snow days, and teacher in-service days. Summer hours are also available, with a different schedule and weekly hour commitment. Training is provided for this role.

Requirements

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Pass a physical/TB test.
• Pass a background check and fingerprinting upon hire.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with childcare/education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in before and after school programs.
• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Assist with program activities and daily routines.
• Follow DHS requirements for childcare.
• Work scheduled hours, including potential extra hours during school breaks, snow days, and teacher in-service days.
• Work summer hours as needed.
