About The Position

As an Enrichment Leader, you'll bring learning to life by leading engaging, hands on enrichment experiences that inspire creativity, curiosity, confidence, and skill development. Whether you're teaching photography, dance, coding, visual arts, sports, robotics, theater, music, or another area of expertise, you'll create an environment where students are encouraged to explore new interests, build meaningful relationships, and discover their potential. Working alongside school communities and YMCA Team Members, you'll help create experiences that children look forward to every day while making learning fun, active, and memorable. If you're passionate about sharing your talents and inspiring the next generation, we'd love to have you on our team. This is a part-time, seasonal position supporting school based enrichment programs during the academic year.
Requirements
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with school age children or teens in a group setting.
- Experience teaching or leading skill based classes, enrichment activities, recreation, arts, academics, sports, STEM, or other specialized programs.
- Strong communication skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to build positive, authentic relationships with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- Current EMSA First Aid and Adult, Infant, and Child CPR certifications, or the ability to obtain required certifications as a condition of employment.
- Completion of required health screenings and background clearances prior to working with participants.

- Candidates may qualify as Enrichment Leader I or Enrichment Leader II based on education and experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging enrichment classes that help students develop new skills, express their creativity, and discover new passions.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels encouraged to participate, learn, and succeed.
- Design and deliver hands on lessons that build toward a culminating project, performance, exhibition, or showcase.
- Build meaningful relationships with students, families, school staff, and YMCA Team Members while serving as a positive role model.
- Help create high quality enrichment experiences that promote achievement, belonging, and positive youth development while supporting YMCA program standards.
