The Natick Public Schools seeks a Before & After School Interim Site Supervisor for the 2026-2027 school year, from August 17, 2026, to January 4, 2027. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Five years or more of experience working with youth in an organized setting.
  • 1 year of administrative and supervisory experience or at least six credits in management, administration, or staff supervision.
  • Ability to lead large groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with families and school personnel.
  • Ability to supervise staff.
  • Ability to respond proactively to a variety of challenges.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for work to be performed.
  • Passion for working with students, families, and colleagues.

  • Alternative degrees/experience may be substituted for the above at the discretion of the Superintendent, if such a substitution brings a strong candidate forward.
  • Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), Sexual Offender Record Check (S.O.R.I.), and fingerprints.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the daily operation of one before school (Early Risers) and after school (ASAP) site, creating a creative, community service-oriented environment.
  • Orientation, training, supervision, and evaluation of program personnel.
  • Overall program design.
  • Communication with families and school personnel.
  • Enforcement of policies and procedures regarding safety and quality.
  • Maintain a current enrollment list and daily attendance sheets, modifying as necessary for enrollment or attendance changes.
  • Confirm arrival of all students each day; initiate Missing Child Procedure if a child does not arrive; and ensure that all children are signed out by an authorized parent/guardian at pick-up.
  • Ensure that all children are checked in at the start of the program and signed out by an authorized parent/guardian at pick-up.
  • Know or ensure that appropriate staff know the whereabouts of all children in assigned groups at all times.
  • Be familiar with which children have epi-pens, food allergies, or other health concerns, and ensure appropriate safety measures are taken.
  • Ensure that all groups have stocked first aid kits available, and implement all health care/emergency procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student injuries and incidents.
  • Train staff in response to emergencies; administer and log evacuation drills.
  • Lead response in the event of an emergency.
  • Alert appropriate staff members when unusual family or personal circumstances may affect student behavior or safety.
  • Assemble supply orders, make monthly shopping trips, maintain supply inventory, keep site materials neat and in accordance with school principal expectations, and ensure program equipment is properly used and stored.
  • Provide orientation, training, and ongoing feedback for staff development.
  • Oversee all staff, help them build skills in strengths-based behavior management and curriculum planning, and support them in setting and maintaining consistent expectations for all students.
  • Lead regular staff meetings.
  • Provide additional support and address performance issues as needed.
  • Complete staff evaluations and train and support other leadership team members in doing so.
  • Enforce procedures by documenting and meeting with staff who do not comply with NPS or ASAP policies.
  • Oversee completion of and submit timesheets and receive, evaluate, and respond to staff time off requests.
  • Assist with and oversee staff in setting up and putting away equipment (outside and inside).
  • Oversee staff in cleaning activity and storage spaces; leaving all areas clean and free of trash/debris.
  • Oversee staff in preparation, and clean-up of daily activities.
  • Develop monthly activity calendar and plan special events.
  • Maintain positive relationships with school personnel to effectively share space, share information about children, and foster increased school and community awareness of the ASAP program.
  • Be familiar with the parents of all children at the site.
  • Provide a check-in about the day to each parent at pick-up.
  • Meet with parents who have questions or concerns.
  • Be aware of students with IEPs, 504 plans, or experiencing difficulty at home or at school, and differentiate services when possible.
  • Provide support or intervene as needed in the case of student behavior incidents.
  • Attend school meetings (IEP, crisis response, family care plan, etc.).
  • Create site-specific newsletters, signage, and informational materials.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all information about program children and families.
  • Attend leadership meetings and other meetings or trainings as assigned.
  • Participate in the hiring process through on-site candidate observations.
  • Submit attendance sheets, injury reports, and incident reports to ASAP office.
  • Perform duties with accuracy, thoroughness, and follow-through.
  • Perform any other relative duties as assigned.
