About The Position

AlphaBEST Education is seeking an early learning professional to serve as a Before/After School Group Leader for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves leading a group of students through various curriculum activities in a structured, high-energy environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, prioritizes child safety, and is flexible, reliable, and ready to contribute wherever needed. This position is well-suited for students pursuing degrees in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or Recreation/Youth Development.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to work in a classroom setting with regular bending and lifting (up to 25 pounds)
• 18+ years old
• Must be registered (or become registered) and have full clearance from the AZ childcare licensing agency

Nice To Haves

• Six months of verifiable childcare experience is preferred
• One year child care experience in a classroom setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
• Make child safety the top priority at all times
• Keep the space clean and organized
• Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
• Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
