About The Position
AlphaBEST is seeking a Before/After School Group Leader with CDA certification or Master Teacher qualifications for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is located at Roosevelt Elementary School within Norman Public Schools. The position focuses on leading daily curriculum activities, ensuring child safety, maintaining a clean and organized space, and fostering a supportive environment for children. The Group Leader will also build strong relationships with teammates, children, families, and school staff, contributing to AlphaBEST's mission of helping children discover and connect with the world.
Requirements
- Master Teacher/ CDA certification
- CDA Certification
- CCP Credential
- 12 credit hours in ECE/CD/SA through CECPD
- Oklahoma Certificate of Mastery
- 1050 hours of training and take the Master Teachers test (Must show proof of certificate)
Responsibilities
- Lead a group of students through daily curriculum activities (World Languages, STEAM, Fitness, Maker, and Arts)
- Make child safety the top priority at all times
- Keep the space clean and organized
- Help create an environment where kids feel supported and included
- Build strong relationships with teammates, kids, families, and school staff
