About The Position
Our District has an exciting Before & After Care Program for children in kindergarten through 5th grade called "Beyond the Bell". We are seeking Before- and After-School Counselors to oversee staff and activities for children ages 5-11. Selected individual will assist in planning and executing after-school activities while supervising kids. Candidates will ensure the safety of the children and the smooth operation of program activities, such as arts & crafts, stories, indoor/outdoor play, homework, etc. Selected individuals will be assigned to a specific district 64 school in Park Ridge.
Requirements
- Six months of experience working with children aged 5-11.
- Basic level of proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or currently enrolled in a state-approved high school program.
Nice To Haves
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certified preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staff and activities for children ages 5-11.
