Before & After School Childcare Program Director
About The Position
Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Childcare Program Director for our Before and After School Pre-K Programs at our Elsinboro Township School location for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children, possess energy, kindness, and patience, and enjoy encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The position requires working well with teammates and communicating effectively with families, along with being reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional care. The program operates during school hours, with opportunities available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or youth program setting.
- 1 year of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations is helpful but not required.
- Must be calm, flexible, and resourceful in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to pass required background and fingerprint clearances.
- Focus on results, not excuses; be purpose-driven.
- Demonstrate motivating, positivity, and leadership skills.
- Exhibit empathy, professionalism, and maintain a G-rated work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with before- and after-school program environments.
- Knowledge of state childcare licensing or school-age care regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure kids are engaged, safe, and having fun every day, reflecting Healthy Kids Program’s model.
- Maintain full staffing at the site daily, ensuring teachers are prepared, supported, and present for the children.
- Operate the site in compliance with required ratios at all times, ensuring records are accurate and current.
- Manage site inventory, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials, and restocking before items run out.
