Pine State Beverage is currently looking for a Beer Supermarket Sales Associate who would be responsible for the sales, merchandising, communication, and account development of beer products in a specific coverage territory. This position is responsible for using local market knowledge and experience within the beverage industry, and local market trends to drive sales and profitability for our company. Requirements

  • Knowledge of the beer trade, sales & strategic marketing in the beverage industry.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.

  • Valid Maine driver’s license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and present to customers effective strategies to increase sales.
  • Execute sales objectives in all channels of our business.
  • Monitor beer codes and labels and rotate products to ensure compliance with company and supplier quality standards.
  • Organize back stock inventory at accounts and work to floor on a weekly basis.
  • Review inventory at all accounts. Write orders to maintain effective product levels.
  • Adhere to account call frequency and sequence.
  • Transmit and verify daily orders in accordance with assigned times to ensure Company’s operational efficiency.
  • Submit all monies collected from deliveries in a timely manner according to established company guidelines.
  • Communicate to appropriate departments all changes in account status (delivery date, ownership, license information) and any other pertinent developments within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain positive professional relationships with owners and buying personnel at key accounts.
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Assist Customer Service as needed in a timely, professional manner.
  • Complete and submit all administrative paperwork, i.e. incentive tracking sheets, etc. on or before deadlines.
  • Utilize the internal Marketing Department and Print Shop to the maximum extent as it relates to shelf talkers and other printed materials.
  • Write credits for damaged items and/or shipment errors within authority as per established company guidelines.
  • Maintain professional responsibility for Company’s secondary locations.
  • Communicate market trends and competitive structure changes.
  • Initiate & execute cooler/shelf placements and resets to maximize sales and distributions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
