About The Position

In your role as a Beer Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for performing daily inspections on all safety sensitive equipment (trucks, forklifts, electric jacks, etc.) as per OSHA and DOT regulations. You will pick and check customer orders accurately and efficiently, load and unload trucks, and verify shipping and receiving quantities. Maintaining a clean warehouse and work environment, operating all equipment safely, and immediately reporting any accidents, unsafe conditions, or injuries are also key responsibilities. The position requires maintaining a professional appearance with company-supplied uniforms, delivering orders to customers promptly and professionally, and planning routes for economical use of time and equipment. This is a safety-sensitive position, meaning job performance can affect the safety of the employee and others, and the employee must perform responsibilities without causing a threat. The job involves frequently working in outside weather conditions, and exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The warehouse is not heated or cooled, with the exception of a cooler maintained between 32 and 40 degrees, and can be very loud due to vehicles and forklifts.

Requirements

  • Valid CLASS A CDL license

Responsibilities

  • Performing daily inspections on all safety sensitive equipment (trucks, forklifts, electric jacks, etc.) to be utilized in preparing and/or the delivery or orders as per the Occupational Safety & Health Administration and the Department of Transportation regulations
  • Picking and checking customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Verifying shipping and receiving quantities
  • Keeping warehouse and work environment clean
  • Operating all equipment in a safe and orderly fashion
  • Reporting any accident, unsafe conditions or injuries immediately
  • Maintaining professional appearance with company supplied uniforms
  • Delivering orders to customers in a prompt, professional and polite fashion
  • Planning route to insure most economical use of time and equipment
  • Perform the job responsibilities without causing a threat to co-workers, to the workplace, or to the public at large
