Manages the development, implementation, and day-to-day administration of the Salt Lake County Bee Inspection and Noxious Weed Control Programs. This 30 hour a week position oversees two state laws, the Utah Bee inspection and Noxious weed act, ensuring SLCo is in compliance with the statutes including facilitation of the noxious weed board. The program manager applies for grant funding, implements projects and coordinates with partners and contractors, tracks budgets, invoices & contracts, supervises temporary employees or interns, responds to requests and complaints from residents, and seeks solutions to Salt Lake County’s most pressing noxious weed issues. This position with work with the Open Space and Parks and Recreation team to develop and support noxious weed mitigation and restoration plans on county open space, parks, and natural lands.
