About The Position

The Bed Group Leader works as a member of a team to complete the setup and pour processes for various product types. This role involves general housekeeping, preparing and cleaning forms, reading blueprints and shop tickets, and directing or assisting with concrete pours and finishing. The leader assigns tasks to the crew and works independently of supervision while coordinating with team members as instructed by supervisors.

Requirements

Able to read blueprints and shop tickets
Able to work on a team
Highly dependable with strong work ethic
Able to understand, follow, and convey verbal instructions
Able to adapt to changes in work schedules, tasks, or processes
Values and demonstrates safe working behaviors
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1-2 years of previous general construction experience

Nice To Haves

Able to read a tape measure preferred
Able to use standard construction tools preferred

Responsibilities

General housekeeping and waste disposal throughout the shift
Collect and prepare materials as directed
Prepare and clean forms
Reads blueprints and shop tickets
Identify and report shop ticket errors
Measures and marks locations for placement of items in forms
Direct or assist with concrete pours as needed
Direct or assist with raking, screeding, and leveling concrete as needed
Operate various types of equipment such as hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power tools
Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
Housekeeping as necessary to maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
