Requirements

• Computer skills for data entry required.
• Excellent customer service skills required.

Nice To Haves

• High School or equivalent preferred.
• Some college or technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurate, courteous, and professional acceptance of bed reservations from doctor's offices and/or ED admits for hospital stays in accordance with admitting policy.
• Work and communicate closely with the Nursing Supervisor, Care Coordination, as well as the Unit Charge Nurses to ensure proper placement of patients according to the level of care ordered by the physicians.
• Obtain the proper authorization and/or verification of benefits from most health plans/Medicare/Medical prior to patient's admission.
