We are seeking a talented and inspiring Beauty Specialist entrusted with advancing the success of our business through exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, have a keen eye for the latest trends, a passion for luxury beauty products, and play a critical role in creating a personalized customer experience anchored in self-care. Reporting to the Experience Manager, the Beauty Specialist will be trained, helping build genuine connections with our valued clientele, ensuring they discover and embrace their individual beauty.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in Retail Sales, Client Service, and Beauty Industry.
  • Professional makeup certification required (recognized makeup artistry program or equivalent).
  • High school diploma.
  • Passion for makeup artistry with a creative mindset.
  • Exceptional active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse customers.
  • Self-motivated and inspired, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Have proven experience as a Beauty Consultant or similar role in a luxury/beauty retail environment.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the luxury beauty market, including emerging trends and customer preferences.
  • Have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding department goals.
  • Are a self-care and wellness ambassador.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted relationships with customers by actively listening, maintaining self-awareness, engaging in conversation, and demonstrating genuine care and empathy in a warm and professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Offer elevated self-care services and client experiences to our customers.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and product innovations, maintaining a deep understanding of our luxury beauty brands, their histories, ingredients, and benefits.
  • Act as a trusted specialist by sharing expertise with customers, guiding them in selecting the perfect products that align with their specific needs and desires.
  • Conduct thorough product consultations to understand customers' unique needs, concerns, and goals, and inspire them to explore new products and services.
  • Offer product samples to customers, showcasing the effectiveness and benefits of the products.
  • Consistently achieve department goals by effectively communicating the unique value of our luxury beauty products and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Utilize solid interpersonal skills to upsell and cross-sell products, ensuring customers have a comprehensive beauty experience tailored to their preferences.
  • Represent our luxury beauty retailer with pride and professionalism by embodying the brand’s values, authenticity, and esthetic through personal grooming and style.
  • Represent our brand with excellence and passion as brand ambassadors.
  • Embrace a growth mindset by staying up-to-date with industry developments, attending product trainings, and participating in brand events.
  • Share knowledge with fellow team members, fostering a collaborative, supportive, and positive work environment.
