About The Position

CVS Health is seeking a licensed, sales-oriented Beauty Consultant who is passionate about beauty and delivering an excellent customer experience. The role supports CVS’s Beauty & Personal Care business by providing beauty services, personalized product advice, and sales assistance. Consultants represent CVS and partner brands, share current beauty trends and techniques, and help customers select products and services. The position includes customer engagement and selling, performing required in-store beauty services—including ear piercing—maintaining product displays and a clean, hygienic work area, and completing ongoing sales, brand, and service training. Consultants must display an active state Cosmetology or Esthetician license during working hours and pass required assessments before performing services. This is a full-time retail position with 40 anticipated weekly hours. The schedule is flexible and may include mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours. The typical pay range is $17.00–$26.00 per hour. Requirements

Current and valid Cosmetology or Esthetician license in the state of employment, maintained and displayed during working hours as required by that state.
Ability and willingness to perform ear-piercing services and other services offered at the locations where the consultant works.
Ability to pass required skills assessments and training courses for paid services.
Ability to use sales data and product or brand knowledge to meet sales and beauty-service goals.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Goal-driven and able to multitask.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and learn new procedures quickly.
Availability to work at a CVS store and travel to sales programs and events as needed.
Availability for a flexible retail schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and peak hours.
Nevada applicants must provide confirmation of a state-issued Makeup Artist Registration or Threader Registration.
At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Prior beauty sales experience and a strong passion for beauty.
Ability to speak both English and Spanish for roles in specific CVS stores.

Responsibilities

Seek out customers and provide a high-quality beauty advisor experience.
Provide personalized sales service based on customer needs, including upselling and suggestive selling.
Use product knowledge and verbal communication to answer customer questions and support sales.
Promote CVS services, Beauty Club programs, in-store events, and current promotions.
Represent CVS and partner brands while providing beauty services and interacting with customers.
Provide required ear-piercing services and other applicable services offered at the locations where the consultant works.
Pass proficiency assessments before performing in-store services.
Demonstrate proper product use and explain product features and benefits.
Manage time among consultations, scheduled services, and walk-in clients.
Display a current and active Cosmetology or Esthetician license during working hours as required by state rules.
Create and maintain product displays and promotional materials.
Participate in and represent CVS at sales programs and events.
Keep the assigned area stocked, well-merchandised, clean, and compliant with hygiene standards.
Follow CVS sanitation and hazardous-waste disposal policies.
Complete ongoing sales, brand, and paid-service training with CVS and service partners.
Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Stay informed about current beauty trends and techniques.
