About The Position

Neiman Marcus is a leading luxury retailer known for its curated product assortment, unparalleled services, and exclusive activations. The Beauty Advisor, reporting to the Cosmetics Selling Manager, is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, driving sales for individual and vendor lines, building customer relationships, and establishing new Neiman Marcus accounts. This role involves participating in in-house training, conducting pre-booked facial consultations, maintaining a well-merchandised counter, and proficiently closing sales. The Beauty Advisor will leverage Neiman Marcus's clienteling system to manage their business and achieve success.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a customer-focused cosmetics environment.
  • Previously demonstrated successful sales experience, exceeding quota.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn and utilize online clienteling tools and software proprietary to Neiman Marcus.
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work in a positive working environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work independently to drive business.
  • Demonstrate sound business judgment and organizational ability.
  • Demonstrate professional make-up and treatment consultation and application.

Responsibilities

  • Model all Neiman Marcus Principles (Greet, Relate, Exceed, Attend and Thank)
  • Achieve and exceed individual and vendor line sales goals, event sales goals, and department daily/monthly sales goals.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by creating and developing excellent customer relationships as the brand expert and department representative.
  • Act as a liaison between Neiman Marcus and the designated Account Executive, maintaining a positive image.
  • Utilize Neiman Marcus's online clienteling resource tool to record and maintain client information and preferences to drive business.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience from approach, to application, to closing the sale and following up with the customer.
  • Maintain counter standards by ensuring a clean, tidy, and welcoming selling area.
