About The Position

The Beauty Advisor role at Jo Malone, also referred to as Cosmetics Business Manager (SFA), is responsible for driving the business of a specific beauty brand. This involves focusing on client development, ensuring an exceptional customer experience, and driving engagement across the entire beauty floor. The role is crucial in creating a seasonal sales strategy and is accountable for achieving daily and monthly sales targets. Saks Fifth Avenue is a leading destination for luxury fashion, known for its curated assortment and personalized customer service, with a strong emphasis on both digital and in-store experiences across its North American locations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year retail experience, preferably in a client-driven sales environment.
  • Proven leadership skills through development of direct reports.
  • Works collaboratively with others and fosters teamwork.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.

  • Ability to do product consultations and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the business of a specific beauty brand by focusing on client development.
  • Ensure an exceptional customer experience and drive engagement of the total beauty floor.
  • Create a seasonal sales strategy.
  • Achieve daily and monthly sales targets.
  • Hire, train, and develop the Merchandise Operations team responsible for back-of-house processes.
  • Oversee processing of inbound merchandise within established company timeframes, ensuring new receipts are on the selling floor prior to store opening.
  • Ensure compliance with all Store Audit Standards.
  • Take a leadership role in communication, direction, and flow challenges within the store.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular oversight of Inventory exception reports.
  • Oversee processing of outbound merchandise transfers and returns to vendors (RTV).
  • Direct and ensure execution of markdowns and price changes, re-ticketing, sends, repairs, sell-off consolidation, and ordering supplies.
  • Lead and ensure teams actively recruit and fill open roles with a sense of urgency.
  • Foster an environment of accountability through ongoing coaching of company policies and procedures, including performance management.
  • Set goals for Associates in alignment with department objectives.
  • Develop, motivate, and train the team in all aspects of their role.
