About The Position
The Seasonal Beauty Advisor provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying individual needs, performing cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The role supports store leadership by contributing to sales and in-store events, delivering guest service, and following operating procedures and compliance standards. It requires a passion for beauty, strong guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The Beauty Advisor engages guests, provides product and service recommendations, handles transactions and online orders, performs makeup applications and skincare analysis, supports appointments and events, and stays informed about products and services. The role also contributes to an inclusive team environment, participates in training, maintains store standards, supports merchandise and inventory operations, and follows loss-prevention practices. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work involves continuous mobility and coordination throughout the store, frequent standing and bending, and lifting, carrying, or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds. The pay range is $15.92–$20.00 per hour; exact pay depends on factors including education, qualifications, experience, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime as required by law. Requirements
- Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling.
- Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to meet the position’s physical demands, including continuous mobility and coordination, frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting, and lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
- Greet and engage guests, personalize service, answer product and service questions, explain promotions, and recommend complementary products or services.
- Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously, and assist with online orders.
- Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
- Book appointments and support services and in-store events.
- Stay informed about products and services and learn their ingredients and benefits.
- Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
- Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
- Explain the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app, to guests.
- Collaborate with store managers and associates to help grow the business.
- Participate in ongoing brand and category training.
- Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
- Keep assigned work areas replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure product testers are available.
- Maintain cleanliness and store standards in the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
- Complete merchandise resets, planograms, displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing using company technology and best practices.
- Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
- Complete other operational tasks as directed.
