The Beamline Welding Machine Operator sets up, programs, runs, and maintains automated welding robots. This role focuses on loading/unloading beams, reading blueprints, monitoring weld quality with gauges, performing basic maintenance, troubleshooting errors, and ensuring safety to produce consistent, high-quality beam components on the welding robotic cell. The position requires strong attention to detail and knowledge of machine operation, specifically welding robots, including handling, positioning, and modifying welding positions with supervisor permission. The operator will utilize spare parts for small interventions on robots, such as contact tips, gas nozzles, and gas distributors. They will perform quality checks using various tools and cameras, set up and operate the robotic welding process, input and adjust programming parameters, and conduct visual inspections and measurements to ensure parts meet specifications. Routine maintenance, troubleshooting, documentation, and adherence to safety protocols are also key aspects of this role.
