About The Position

Shaw is hiring a Beam Tufting Reliability Tech C. This position will serve the Tufting/Warping Department by making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to tufting machines for the purpose of maintaining their efficient and accurate operation.

Requirements

EQA Tools
Various wrenches, hammers & other hand tools
Support equipment
Gauge Parts
Abide by and enforce plant safety rules and regulations.
Know evacuation routes and gathering location.

Serve on task forces and committees as necessary.
Perform other non-quality-related duties as directed by Supervisor.

Responsibilities

Make necessary repairs to tufting machines and warpers.
Perform preventative maintenance on tufting machines and warpers.
Make major changes of blades, loopers and needles on tufting machines.
Make necessary speed adjustments to tufting machines.
Obtain dissection weight checks for the purpose of determining the nature of tufting machine adjustments and make the needed adjustments pending the analysis of the dissection weight checks.
Make necessary tufting machine adjustments to accommodate style changes.
Troubleshoot machines and warpers for mechanical issues.
Perform minor and major overhauls of tufting machines when machine shop work is not required.
Repair mending guns and other Tufting/Warper Department equipment.
Attend periodic departmental meetings as well as training that will foster continued job improvement.
Communicate to other employees both in speech and in writing.
Ensure the work environment is free of harassment and that employees feel free to express problems and concerns.
Assure compliance of all corporate policies.
