About The Position

The Beam Saw Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a horizontal panel saw (beam saw) to accurately cut sheet materials according to production drawings, cut lists, and job specifications. The role ensures high-quality, precise cuts while maintaining efficiency, safety, and minimal material waste. Requirements

Experience operating a beam saw or similar industrial panel saw (preferred)
Ability to read technical drawings and cut lists
Basic math and measurement skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good understanding of woodworking materials
Ability to lift heavy panels and work in a production environment
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

Nice To Haves

Experience in cabinet making, millwork, or fixture manufacturing
Familiarity with optimization software or CNC production flow
Forklift or material handling certification

Responsibilities

Operate a beam saw / horizontal panel saw to cut sheet goods (MDF, plywood, particle board, laminate panels, etc.)
Read and interpret cut lists, shop drawings, and production orders
Measure, mark, and verify material before cutting
Load and unload panels safely and efficiently (manually or using lifting equipment)
Optimize material usage to reduce waste and maximize yield
Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and blade changes when required
Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformity to specifications
Maintain a clean and safe work area following company safety procedures
Report equipment issues or defects to maintenance or supervisors
Work closely with CNC operators, assembly teams, and production supervisors to meet deadlines
