About The Position

Join the Discovery family, where quality and service are at the heart of everything we do! This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Dune Deck Beach Club, set in Westhampton Beach, New York. Dune Deck Beach Club is seeking a Beach Supervisor to join the Outdoor Pursuits Department. This is a seasonal role available May 15 – Sept. 30, 2026. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain active Discovery 4 Life and American Red Cross CPR, AED, First Aid certifications.
  • Strong verbal and written communiction in English, additional languages helpful.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Supervisory experience, 1-3 years
  • Understanding of Guest Service in luxury level resort or private club setting
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all staff within the department: Lifeguards, Pool & Beach Attendants, Outdoor Pursuits Attendants, Kids Camp Attendants specifically in the absence of the Beach Manager.
  • Scheduling, training and on-going feedback of all direct reports.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Attend off site excursions and field trips with Members
  • Actively monitor budget and variance reports with Director of Outdoor Operations
  • Generate daily reports of activities throughout department for Beach Manager
  • Provide risk management for all activities and outdoor/indoor spaces throughout department.
  • Perform first aid treatments when necessary.
  • Attend meetings and trainings as necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
