About The Position

The Beach Attendant ensures guests are enjoying their time on property by welcoming them to the beach and consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service. This role involves ensuring guests are aware of all services available on the beach, setting up beach equipment, overseeing the general cleanliness and upkeep of the beach area, and properly breaking down and storing equipment. Maintaining the highest level of service while embodying McKibbon’s Guiding Principles is at the heart of this role.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Scheduling flexibility
  • The ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs regularly
  • The ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests to the beach and consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensure guests are aware of all services available on the beach.
  • Set-up beach equipment in designated area.
  • Oversee the general cleanliness and upkeep of the beach area.
  • Break-down and store beach equipment properly.
  • Resolve guest complaints in a professional, timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain complete knowledge at all times of hotel features/services, hours of operation and scheduled daily activities.
  • Greet all guests as they arrive/depart the beach area in an upbeat, professional and genuine way.
  • Assist guests as needed based on requests of guests and supervisor.
  • Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery, concerns).
  • Anticipate the needs of guests by being attentive to the environment and current circumstances.
