This position involves performing a limited number of sub-assembly operations on brushless DC motors, including stator, rotor, housing, lamination, and partial Printed-Circuit board assemblies, while maintaining production records and reporting irregularities to a supervisor.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good eyesight with ability to identify and distinguish color and good dexterity.
  • Capable of light lifting of 20 lbs. frequently and up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed, including Saturdays.
  • Ability to work with and around magnets that have a strong electromagnetic field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform limited number of sub-assembly operations on brushless DC motors.
  • Stator assembly (wind, form, impregnate, twist and hide).
  • Partial Rotor assembly.
  • Housing assembly including installing stators and Printed-Circuit board assemblies.
  • Lamination assembly, including install and bite standoffs, cleans stacks.
  • Partial Printed-Circuit board assembly, including installing terminals, grommets, cable ties and connector housings.
  • Maintain production records.
  • Report irregularities to supervisor.
