About The Position

The Graduate Program Coordinator supports graduate student recruitment, enrollment, retention, progression, and graduation efforts across the Brooks College of Health through comprehensive advising coordination, academic progress monitoring, communication management, and student success initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
  • This position requires a background check.

  • The incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for graduate students regarding academic policies, registration processes, degree requirements, and university resources.
  • Assist students with registration-related processes, including applying and removing advising or program holds, issuing registration overrides, resolving registration issues, and supporting academic success initiatives.
  • Provide timely and accurate information regarding college, university, and graduate program requirements.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve routine advising and administrative issues while escalating complex concerns to the appropriate program director or university office.
  • Serve as a student advocate by connecting students with academic and support resources that promote retention, persistence, and degree completion.
  • Support graduate student onboarding and orientation activities in collaboration with graduate program directors and university partners.
  • Assist with initiatives designed to improve enrollment yield, retention, persistence, and student engagement.
  • Maintain and monitor student degree progress records using Degree Works and other university systems.
  • Collect, analyze, and use student data as appropriate to support advising and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with FERPA regulations.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to enrollment, advising, progression, retention, graduation, and other student success metrics.
  • Verify completion of degree requirements and coordinate with program directors and university offices as needed.
  • Assist students with graduation application processes and related requirements.
  • Maintain accurate student academic records in accordance with university policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with graduate program directors, faculty, the Graduate School, BCH Academic Advisors, Enrollment Services, and other university partners to support graduate student success.
  • Participate in graduate program-related meetings, advising meetings, student success initiatives, and professional development activities.
  • Assist with the development, assessment, and continuous improvement of graduate student services and program processes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental operations and Brooks College of Health graduate programs.
