About The Position

The Edinburg Center is seeking a BCBA for their Mental Health Specialty Flex Team in Central Massachusetts (Worcester). This is a full-time, salaried mobile position. BCBAs on this team will apply ABA principles to support youth (21 years and under) experiencing mental health challenges other than ASD, and their families. The role involves parent coaching, developing FBAs and BSPs, potentially participating in family therapy, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. This position requires thinking outside the box, flexibility, and an understanding of the intertwined nature of mental health and behavior. There is no minimum productivity requirement.

Requirements

• BCBA/LABA or close to it.
• Experience conducting functional behavior assessments.
• Experience designing positive behavior support plans.
• Experience working with youth 21 years and under with serious emotional and behavioral challenges or autism.
• Excellent written and interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs).
• Design and implement positive behavior support plans (BSPs).
• Provide parent coaching.
• Collaborate with a variety of collaterals.
• Participate in family therapy to observe behavior patterns and family dynamics.
• Combine ABA skills with clinical counterparts in an interdisciplinary team.
• Think outside the box and be flexible while following principles of ABA.
• Understand that mental health and behavior are intertwined.
