About The Position

We're seeking a BCBA Assessor to join our clinical team in a flexible, part-time hybrid role focused exclusively on evaluation, clinical judgment, and treatment recommendations. This is an ideal opportunity for a clinician who enjoys deep diagnostic thinking, strong report writing, and collaborative decision-making, while maintaining work-life flexibility. As a BCBA Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive behavioral assessments for individuals referred for ABA services. Your work directly informs treatment planning, insurance authorization, and clinical direction—without ongoing case management or supervision responsibilities. You'll partner closely with intake, clinical leadership, and operations teams to ensure assessments are timely, accurate, and clinically robust.

Requirements

  • Current BCBA certification in good standing
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Active licensure
  • 3+ years of ABA experience, including behavioral assessments
  • Strong clinical writing and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of insurance authorization and medical necessity criteria
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (travel required for in person assessments)
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass required background checks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FBAs, adaptive assessments, and diagnostic support
  • Familiarity with multiple payer systems and funding sources
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in person comprehensive initial and reassessment evaluations for individuals referred for ABA services
  • Administer, score, and interpret standardized assessment tools (adaptive behavior, skill-based assessments, FBAs, and more)
  • Conduct caregiver, educator, and stakeholder interviews to gather clinical context
  • Observe clients across home, school, clinic, and community environments
  • Synthesize data into clear, clinically sound treatment recommendations
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports aligned with payer, regulatory, and organizational requirements
  • Determine medical necessity and recommend appropriate service levels and goals
  • Collaborate with intake and authorization teams to support insurance approvals
  • Provide consultation to clinical leadership regarding assessment findings
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation
