About The Position

Valiant is looking for a Battlefield Effects Fire Marker to join our team! This role involves producing realistic Battlefield Effects using simulators, training devices, and pyrotechnics safely and accurately. The position requires operating and maintaining equipment, including ATVs, and becoming proficient in military map reading and communications procedures. The role also involves working outdoors in various weather conditions, at different times of day (including with night vision goggles), and in diverse terrain. The individual will follow instructions from a Shift Leader and comply with all regulations and policies. Travel throughout the continental US and foreign countries is also a requirement.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be capable of completing safety certification program prior to performing duties.
• Must be able to multi-task and work independently when needed.
• Must train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System.
• Must become proficient in military communications procedures.
• Must be available to work flexible shifts outdoors and react quickly to schedule changes.
• Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.
• Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening and will be subject to random drug screening.
• Must possess a valid Louisiana State Driver’s License (or equivalent).
• Employment contingent upon favorable company background investigation.
• Will have to acquire a post access card.

Nice To Haves

• Experience reading military maps and in military radio-telephone procedures.
• Class “D’ driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Produce realistic Battlefield Effects using simulators, training devices and pyrotechnics without assistance in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
• Operate and maintain all assigned equipment to prescribed standards to include operation of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV).
• Train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System.
• Work during both daylight hours and during periods of limited visibility while using (NVGs) Night Vision Goggles.
• Work under all weather conditions and in a wide variety of terrain.
• Follow all instructions from Shift Leader and perform tasks in compliance with all applicable corporate and local regulations, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with mission requirements and occupational specialty.
• Other duties as assigned.
