This is an added duty contract position for Battle of the Books. The term is based on the schedule and potentially prorated. The role involves communicating with participants, parents, and administrators, upholding a high code of conduct, following safety procedures, and adhering to NSBSD and specific activity policies. A key responsibility is the annual review of the Coaches’ and Parent and Student Handbooks, ensuring student welfare is prioritized. Mandatory trainings must be completed by the first contract day. Specific duties for Battle of the Books include obtaining study questions from the District Librarian, maintaining a roster and attendance at study sessions, communicating schedules to parents, scheduling practice time, participating in the District-Wide “Battle,” and submitting an Activity Report with photos.
