Battery Pack Development Engineer

Stellantis•Auburn Hills, MI

About The Position

The Battery Pack Development Engineer develops innovative battery pack technologies for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) for potential integration into future Stellantis vehicle programs. The technologies are intended to support improvements in vehicle range, power, safety, and fast-charging capability. The engineer develops design concepts for battery-pack structure and thermal management around battery cells. The role includes designing hardware, coordinating simulations and analyses, coordinating prototype builds at module, pack, and vehicle levels, executing proof-of-concept test plans, conducting risk analyses, and building business cases for future vehicle implementation. The engineer may serve as a project leader, coordinating a cross-functional team and establishing goals and timelines to advance technologies through the Technology Readiness Level process.
