About The Position

Battery Assemblers will work as part of a team that is responsible for assembling an entire product or component of a product. Assemblers are responsible for performing some or all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most of them rather than being assigned to a specific task on a permanent basis. All Battery Assemblers must be trained in house to a curriculum based on IPC-620 standards, welding and general assembler knowledge.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Ability to read and write English and comfortably speak English throughout the course of each work day.
• Ability to pay attention to the minute details in a work instruction; must be able to read and understand all work instructions written and explained in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Proficient knowledge of measuring devices.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
• Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
• Ability to comprehend basic technical topics.
• Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process.
• Assembly of cables, battery packs, or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Adhere to and maintain workmanship standards set forth by the organization.
• Participate in continuous training, including but not limited to cross training in other areas of production.
• Use lead free solder on PC boards.
• Provide input and feedback to engineers and/or cell leads to strive toward continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned.
