About The Position

The Bathroom Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by maintaining a clean, tidy, and presentable restroom environment. This role involves providing a warm and friendly welcome to guests, assisting them with their needs, and promptly addressing any issues or dissatisfaction by communicating with management. The attendant will also inform guests about upcoming events and perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold the standards of Tao Group.

Requirements

  • At least one year in a related field required.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English.
  • Meet minimum age requirements of jurisdiction.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of dining room and service procedures or functions.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to write and verbally communicate.
  • Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to move quickly.
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.

Responsibilities

  • Observe guests and ensure their satisfaction with their experience at Tao Group.
  • Speak to management for prompt action if any guest dissatisfaction is noted.
  • Provide the best possible service in the least obtrusive manner.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the restaurant/bar premises.
  • Inform guests about any upcoming events at Tao Group.
  • Keep the restrooms and exterior hall environment clean, tidy, and presentable.
  • Provide a warm and friendly welcome to all guests.
  • Welcome guests with an appropriate greeting.
  • Open bathroom doors for guests upon arrival and departures.
  • Ensure appropriate language is used when speaking to guests.
  • Listen to and understand guests’ inquiries.
  • Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned.
  • Perform all assigned duties as detailed in opening, afternoon, and closing checklists.
  • Assist in cleaning any spillages and wet floors when required.
  • Ensure bathrooms are clean and functional before, during, and after operational hours.
  • Clean mirrors, toilets, floors and empty trash bins regularly throughout the shift.
  • Perform regular bathroom inspections to ensure cleanliness at all times.
  • Monitor and respond to inappropriate guest behavior by getting management and security involved immediately.
  • Open bathroom doors for guests and escort or direct them to the appropriate bathroom.
  • Replace supplies when par levels are low, including paper towels, soap, lotion, seat covers, and toilet tissue.
  • Monitor counters for excess water and wipe counters as needed.
  • Notify management and/or maintenance of any issues such as broken toilets or sinks.
  • Update the order sheet on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that “Wet Floor” signage is used on rainy days, adjacent to any spillage, and during cleaning hours.
  • Move furniture as directed by management.
