Bather
About The Position
A Pet Pros Bather is responsible for providing outstanding services through friendly engagement with our guests. The general duties of a Pet Pros Bather include but are not limited to performing bathing services for Groomers, learning grooming services to breed standards and pet parents’ preferences, and always ensuring the safety and well-being of pets under their care. Bathers will develop long-term relationships with pet parents by engaging and educating our guests in a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere. They will become familiar with and understand retail products carried by Pet Pros and refer products to grooming guests when appropriate. Bathers will also learn and understand Pet Pros’ loyalty, savings programs, and monthly promotions, as well as Pet Pros’ scheduling system and daily procedures. Maintaining grooming area cleanliness and organization, and attending store meetings and trainings are also key responsibilities. Other duties and projects may be assigned.
Requirements
- Passion for pets
- Inquisitiveness and desire to learn
- Promotes a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and educating other team members. Engages with team members in a positive, professional, and supportive manner
- Highly accountable and has integrity
- Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers
- Customer/Guest service and retail experience, preferably in the pet industry.
- Knowledge of pet related products.
- Willingness to learn all aspects of pet grooming.
- High school diploma or GED
