About The Position

Under the direction of the Site Leader, packages liquid adhesives into various bulk containers by following specific instructions and procedures. This role is crucial for producing quality products as scheduled and on time, ensuring daily production requirements are met by adhering to the production schedule. The position involves maintaining assigned equipment through regular inspections, reporting any potential contamination, mechanical repairs, or safety issues immediately to management. Strict adherence to detailed instructions is required for proper filter usage and fill weight accuracy on all packaged products. The role utilizes the daily production schedule to prepare for upcoming production and operates a forklift to safely and orderly deliver packaged products to the finished goods warehouse. Additionally, the BatchMaker II Utility-UN builds and bands corrugated totes, takes samples of finished products for quality control, and labels all finished products with accuracy between labels and batch tickets. This role may also involve filling in for shipping and receiving as needed, along with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in a related field
  • Current forklift certification training
  • Valid state driver’s license, with a good driving record
  • Must lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Produce quality products as scheduled and on time.
  • Complete daily production requirements by following production schedule.
  • Maintain assigned equipment by performing required pre-operational, in process and post batch inspections.
  • Immediately report any possibilities of contamination, needed mechanical repair or safety issues to management.
  • Follow detailed instructions to ensure proper filter usage and fill weight on all packaged products.
  • Utilize daily production schedule to prepare for upcoming production.
  • Utilize forklift to deliver packaged products to finished good warehouse in safe and orderly manner.
  • Build and band corrugated totes.
  • Take samples of finished products to turn into quality control.
  • Label all finished products and ensure accuracy between labels and batch tickets.
  • Fill-in for shipping and receiving as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, facility and equipment by following routine housekeeping standards.
  • Cap or plug hose and plumbing fittings when not in use.
  • Properly store all properly capped, covered or closed operating supplies such as raw materials, drums, totes, etc. in their designated locations before the end of the shift.
  • Remove empty raw material containers, packages, bags and sacks before the end of the shift.
  • Equipment must be kept clean of raw material residue, chemicals and adhesive.
  • Sweep and mop work areas as needed and at the end of each shift.
  • Rinse mop heads and mop buckets and return to the proper storage area after each use.
  • Return cleaning equipment to assigned area after each use.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following the Meridian “Safety Rules and Guidelines” and the “Code of Safe Practices” as defined in the “Employee Safety Handbook”, and by Company policy.
  • Maintain respirator certification through required physicals and fit tests.
  • Participate in physical inventory and cycle counting.
  • Contribute to team effort, i.e. assisting in any area required, etc.
  • Train designated employees on compounding procedures.
  • Participate in safety, loss control, accident, incident and rework investigations, as assigned.
