Requirements

  • Experience in a fast-moving packaged goods environment, beverage production experience required.
  • Formal training in areas such as SAP, HACCP, GMP, Hygiene etc. required.
  • Able to routinely lift 50lbs.
  • Able to perform duties within a high stress/pressure environment.
  • Have a sound general knowledge of mathematical skills, i.e. measurements/formulas.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written (English).
  • Solid comprehension of production schedules and laboratory testing.
  • Understand quality improvement, increase efficiencies, improve yields, and eliminate out of specification or damaged product.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Obtains/Sustains forklift certification.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety standards.
  • Comply with FDA, state/city regulations, Refresco quality policies, GMP's, HACCP, Allergen, Kosher, etc.
  • Operate all batching/blending equipment in the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of the product run on the lines based on specifications.
  • Transport required ingredients and pre-weighs by forklift to and from required areas.
  • Verify all ingredients against SAP, food safety, food quality, and inventory control parameters before conducting syrup batching.
  • Program bulk ingredient delivery system.
  • Follow instructions on batching/blending sheets, add proper ingredients, and record amounts accurately.
  • Obtain blend tank samples and take to the quality laboratory for testing, and make adjustments as instructed by the quality department.
  • Complete all required documentation for batching/blending operation.
  • Maintain sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift.
  • Perform CIP/COP sanitation of all batching/blending lines, tanks, and equipment as scheduled.
  • Operate plant water filtration systems.
  • Remove empty barrels and bins from batching area to designated storage area and/or trailers.
  • Manage time and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules.
  • Receive and unload deliveries of bulk concentrates.
  • Report all non-compliance, product protection, food safety, and personal safety issues to management.
  • Understand BOD process and assist in BOD of batches.
  • May assist in training new employees.
