The Batching Blending Supervisor is responsible for the execution of processing and batching products ensuring proper usage of materials and the processing schedule. This role involves leading and directing the work of other employees and having some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions. The supervisor will work with management to ensure products are staged and batched according to the production schedule, mix batches, combine ingredients properly, and ensure compliance of pre-weigh procedures and the proper flow of cold storage ingredients. They will release approved batches to lines for production, assist with new batch start-ups, and may be required to unload sugar and alcohol trucks, complete proper paperwork, and perform material and ingredient inventories. Maintaining proper paperwork for all manufactured batches, analyzing and adjusting production processes to minimize material waste, and communicating any issues or corrections to management are key responsibilities. The supervisor must stop any production that may be questionable in terms of Food Safety and immediately alert management. They will also learn and assist with the CIP/COP program, have basic knowledge of water treating and wastewater systems (potentially including water testing), perform minor machine maintenance and daily/weekly preventive maintenance, and perform special cleaning duties as needed. Responsible for proper training of employees.
