About The Position

City Brewery in La Crosse, WI, has immediate opportunities for Batching Associates. This position is responsible for accurately preparing and mixing beverage formulations according to established recipes and production schedules. This role involves measuring, weighing, and blending raw ingredients to ensure consistent quality, taste, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The technician works closely with quality assurance, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate batching while minimizing waste and downtime. Attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, HSED or relevant work experience required.
  • Ability to complete mathematical recipe conversions.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Must be able to push, pull, drag & lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed individual that is able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, often loud manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teammates of varying skills and backgrounds.
  • Effective analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work any and all shifts, weekends and overtime as assigned.
  • Must be able to pass a post-offer drug screening, functional capacity exam and background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix beverage batches according to established formulas and production schedules.
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and document raw ingredients using scales and meters.
  • Operate batching and mixing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor batch temperatures, times and ingredient flow to ensure product consistency.
  • Clean and sanitize tanks, lines and equipment in accordance with sanitation and safety standards.
  • Record batch data, ingredient usage and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure all batches meet required specifications.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP and all company SOP’s and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to PPE requirements.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or material shortages to supervisors promptly.
  • Assist in inventory control and organization of batching ingredients and supplies.
