About The Position

The Batcher is responsible for preparing product batches according to established standards and specifications. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, and adherence to safety and quality protocols. The Batcher will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality output.

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment
Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurement and calculations.
Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills for collaboration and reporting.
High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

experience in food production preferred
additional training in food safety or manufacturing processes is a plus

Responsibilities

Prepare batches according to specific product formulas and specifications.
Calculate and weigh raw materials accurately based on batch requirements.
Monitor the batching process to ensure adherence to standards.
Review mixing sheets to verify product specifications and processing information.
Inspect batches to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of all batch activities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure a safe working environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of laboratory safety standards and practices.
Conduct routine checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
Complete daily batching schedule controls and ensure all paperwork is accurate.
Verify lot numbers for accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly.
Maintain logs of all work performed and report findings to the Batching & Inventory Supervisor.
Work closely with other production associates and supervisors to coordinate batch preparation activities.
Assist in training new batchers on procedures and best practices.
Communicate effectively to address any operational concerns.
