About The Position

As a Batcher/Pour Up in our Dispersion Department, you’ll play an important role in the paint manufacturing process by preparing materials, supporting batch production, and helping keep the department running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Steady, consistent work history with strong reliability and flexibility
  • 3+ years of sit-down forklift experience preferred, including operation in tight manufacturing spaces
  • Strong basic math and measurement skills with the ability to accurately weigh and measure materials
  • Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks with limited supervision, and maintain a strong production pace
  • Strong problem-solving skills; resourceful, self-motivated, and takes initiative
  • Ability to follow established production and safety procedures
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Willingness to learn, take on new challenges, and accept additional responsibilities
  • Ability to work overtime as required
  • Comfortable working in a non-air-conditioned environment around paint, pigments, powders, and other raw materials
  • Ability to routinely lift 50–60 lbs. and stand for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach overhead, twist, push, and pull throughout a 10-hour shift

Responsibilities

  • Operate a sit-down forklift to safely move raw materials and finished batches throughout production and storage areas, including tight spaces.
  • Stage, weigh, measure, and prepare raw materials according to production needs.
  • Assist with pouring, mixing, and handling raw materials throughout the batching process.
  • Move, stage, and organize materials to keep production running efficiently and on schedule.
  • Operate manufacturing and production equipment as needed.
  • Create a safe workspace by maintaining cleanliness in assigned areas and following safety regulations.
