Crafco, Inc. has an opening for a Silicone Mix Operator at our manufacturing facility in Chandler, AZ. This role is responsible for the direct manufacturing of all silicone products according to production schedules and may train others in proper silicone manufacturing as needed. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience with production manufacturing or plant operations
  • Safety-minded individual with continuous improvement mindset
  • Computer proficiency including email, Word, Excel, and MS Office applications and proprietary systems
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role such as standing for long periods of time, bending, and/or lifting.
  • May work with adverse conditions such as strong odor from materials.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the various silicone production functions to ensure an efficient, on schedule, and safe work environment.
  • Perform efficient and safe operation of all equipment and job duties.
  • Mix various raw materials per batch instruction forms as detailed by silicone engineering.
  • Make recommendations to the Plant Manager in the areas of equipment, tools, fixtures, processes and personnel.
  • Maintain established quality standards for packaging, labeling, palletizing, handling and storage of Crafco products.
  • Ensure proper handling, organization and storage of raw materials to enable easy access and eliminate damage.
  • Maintain a positive communication line with employees assigned to the department and with the Plant Manager.
  • Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies and materials as directed by the Plant Manager, working with purchasing to maintain minimum costs.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory counts of all items utilized in the area.
  • Weekly cycle counts shall be taken and proper adjustments made through the inventory control department.
