Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in equipment operations, preferably at a food and beverage manufacturing plant; must have experience driving a forklift.
  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Ability to work overtime and flexible with scheduled work hours, punctual with good attendance, and self-driven.
  • Principles of food hygiene and food safety as defined and described on 21 CFR- Part 117, including the importance of employee health and personal hygiene, as appropriate to the assigned duties.
  • Good documentation practices and must be able to accurately fill out QA forms or logs.
  • Beginner proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Able to stand or sit for prolonged hours, lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, and work in a hot, humid, noisy, and dusty manufacturing environment.
  • Must reside in Palestine, TX, or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual tasks to make batches for production.
  • Manually handle, weigh, and add ingredients based on batch specification.
  • Properly complete official documents required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
  • Perform all required inventory transactions for material usage, tracking and process tracking.
  • Assist with ingredient cycle counts as required and full system inventories.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work areas and perform other housekeeping/sanitation tasks as assigned.
  • Perform required preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
