About The Position

Silver Spring Foods is seeking an experienced Batch Operator who is motivated and has a real enthusiasm for creating great tasting food. This role enjoys the science of food, knowing that exact measurement of ingredients and the right blending process are critical to making a high-quality product. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys working independently with minimal direction, and takes pride in their equipment, processes, and end products. They also enjoy being on a positive, productive team that works together to make great products and helps team members throughout the day. The role involves the physicality of the job, knowing you won’t have to go to Cross Fit after work.

Requirements

Experience in people management, promoting teamwork and building strong teams.
Ability to collaborate with different personalities and colleagues across the organization.
Experience in continuous improvement, suggesting and implementing material improvements to operations.
Ability to support daily operations, ensuring proper shift transitions and strong lines of communication.
Ability to review job orders and determine priorities, staffing needs, and material requirements.
Attention to detail to ensure safety, quality, and maintenance procedures are followed and documented accurately.

Responsibilities

Promoting teamwork and building strong teams.
Walking the manufacturing lines regularly to understand what’s happening on the floor and build strong relationships with colleagues to optimize production.
Coaching and managing, providing feedback, instruction, encouragement and kudos, modeling great leadership and inspiring positive behavior and comradery.
Collaborating with different personalities and colleagues across the organization.
Seeking input of the team and other stakeholders before making big decisions.
Suggesting and implementing material improvements to operations.
Ensuring proper shift transitions and strong lines of communication between different teams to keep operations moving smoothly.
Reviewing all job orders and quickly determining priorities, staffing needs, and material requirements to ensure the team is meeting daily production goals.
Ensuring that safety, quality, and maintenance procedures are followed and documented accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently.
