This is an exciting training opportunity at Cargill EWOS that will require an individual who can adapt to the changing dynamics of production. This individual must be self-motivated with a very strong ability to plan, prepare all necessary ingredients, follow instructions, and execute quality product. This is a cross-training opportunity. After being cross trained, the candidate would return to their current position. Requirements

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Minimum Grade 12.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include standing, Walking, Crouching, Stooping, lifting up to 50lbs and climbing, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in varied indoor conditions which may include heat, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Experience in computerized systems and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advanced notice

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate mobile equipment (forklift)
  • Very good Mechanical Aptitude or training.
  • Boiler Ticket.
  • Veterinary Drug Dispenser’s License
  • Prior experience in industrial production related work

Responsibilities

  • Identify batching / extrusion requirements.
  • Prioritize solutions.
  • Complete all daily production requirements. Keep accurate records.
  • Keep area organized and clean.
  • Plan ahead to have all necessary materials for the customer’s orders.
  • Incorporate safety in all his daily activities.
  • Must work overtime shifts when required by shift.
  • Be prepared to work in intake and packaging if required
