About The Position

The primary requirement of this position is the operation of the batch-off and packaging of mixed compound. This role involves operating machinery safely and efficiently, maintaining quality control by monitoring production output, and identifying any issues with the product or process. The operator will also be responsible for operating a computer control system, maintaining and operating a bar code printer, refilling batch dip, maintaining proper slab dip levels, cleaning equipment, and ensuring rubber compound meets customer specifications and is packaged correctly. Operation of a Pelletizer and a forklift are also key responsibilities, along with following and assisting in updating safety procedures.

Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
Capable of maintaining quality control by monitoring production output.
Ability to identify any issues with the product or process.
Knowledge of general computer skills.
One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Willing to work overtime including weekends.
Close visual work required.

Responsibilities

Operation of the batch-off and packaging of mixed compound.
Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
Maintain quality control by monitoring production output.
Identify any issues with the product or process.
Operate computer control system.
Maintain and operate bar code printer.
Refill batch dip.
Maintain proper slab dip levels for the compound being mixed.
Clean Batch-off bars and dip tank on a weekly basis.
Clean out gear pump head and assist with setting up next one.
Clean packaging containers prior to packaging compounds.
Ensure loop lengths are set accordingly for the recipe being mixed.
Ensure rubber compound meets customer specs and is packaged in the proper container neatly.
Operation of Pelletizer.
Following all safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures.
Operating a forklift for various functions.
