About The Position

Prep Network is a leading sports company specializing in prep coverage, events, and athlete recruitment. We are seeking dedicated team players to help organize and operate youth basketball tournaments and showcases nationwide. As a Prep Hoops Showcase Director, you will be responsible for the successful execution of our events, serving as the primary representative of our event operations team. Your role will involve upholding our high standards for first-class showcases and leveraging provided resources to create an elite experience for all participants.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities.
Decisive and proven ability to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the fly.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Experience working with and managing groups of 10 or more people.
Proficiency with technology, including a laptop or iPad and familiarity with Google Docs and Google Sheets.

Nice To Haves

Experience in running showcase events with between 50 and 200 participants.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the event operations team to organize pre-event details and checklists, including event supplies and participant court assignments.
Execute events by working closely with venues and staff to ensure a smooth check-in process, manage the run of show, and conduct a thorough wrap-up.
Communicate effectively with all event staff, including facility contacts.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise on-site during the event.
