About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Basketball Instructor to lead engaging and skill-building sessions for children aged 6-13. This role involves teaching fundamental basketball techniques, fostering teamwork, and ensuring a positive and safe learning environment. The instructor will be responsible for planning and executing class activities according to the program's curriculum.
Requirements
- Experience in basketball instruction or coaching.
- Knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Ability to work with children aged 6-13.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and enthusiasm for teaching.
- Ability to manage a classroom environment effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with youth programs.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Experience in curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Instructing participants on basketball fundamentals and advanced techniques.
- Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans for various age groups.
- Creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all participants.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants during class.
- Managing class time effectively to meet program objectives.
- Communicating with parents or guardians regarding participant progress and program details.
