About The Position

Leader Breeders is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Basketball Instructor to join their team. The instructor is responsible for teaching fundamental and advanced basketball skills while using the sport as a tool to promote discipline, teamwork, and leadership development. This role focuses on skill instruction, mentorship, and creating a structured, positive environment for youth to grow both on and off the court.

Requirements

• Experience in teaching basketball skills
• Ability to promote discipline, teamwork, and leadership
• Skill in providing individualized feedback
• Ability to supervise participants and ensure safety
• Experience in organizing drills and exercises
• Experience in coordinating leagues, clinics, or tournaments
• Ability to track attendance and report progress
• Experience serving as a mentor and role model

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead basketball training sessions for youth of varying skill levels
• Teach fundamental skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, and game strategy
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and accountability through instruction and example
• Provide individualized feedback and support to help participants improve
• Supervise participants to ensure safety and appropriate behavior during all activities
• Organize drills, scrimmages, and skill-building exercises
• Assist with coordinating leagues, clinics, and tournaments
• Track attendance and report participant progress or concerns to program leadership
• Serve as a positive mentor and role model for youth
