Basic Cost Analyst
About The Position
ECS seeks a Basic Cost Analyst to support the Missile Defense Agency in Dahlgren, VA. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members and supervisors on assigned projects and activities, deliver high-quality analytical products with a strong emphasis on accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness, and develop a deeper understanding of the organization while strengthening core analytical skills. This role involves assisting with cost estimating and cost analysis efforts under general supervision, supporting sensitivity, risk, and uncertainty analysis activities, following established procedures, and coordinating effectively with stakeholders. The analyst will apply foundational analytical and statistical techniques to solve routine cost analysis challenges. Additionally, the role requires preparing and providing Analyses of Alternatives, Business Case Analyses, and mid-term and far-term architecture planning studies, analyzing Contract Performance Reports (CPRs) and Cost and Software Data Reports (CSDRs) formerly CCDRs and incorporating data into cost estimates, developing Cost Models and articulating results both in written form and verbally, conducting Cost Research Studies, and performing budget analysis and budget formulation.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a clearance.
- BA/BS in Related Field from an accredited institution.
- Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
