About The Position

Lifting Solutions is a high-performing team that engineers, manufactures, distributes, sells, and services artificial lift products that outperform the market. Since its inception in Canada in 2014, the company has expanded from 14 colleagues to over 300 across 28 locations in three countries, operating two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Canada and Oman. The Base Manager will be responsible for managing a profitable pump shop operation by delivering safe and reliable services and quality products to clients, and for inventory management for the area.

Requirements

  • minimum of five years of oilfield experience or equivalent technical training
  • leadership, supervisory, organizational, people and training skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to follow oral and written direction
  • ability to manage a “bottom line business”
  • Knowledge of LSI product lines, field services, equipment and functions thereof
  • A basic knowledge of finance with respect to cost control, budgets, business plans, income statements, etc.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude and knowledge around oilfield industrial equipment
  • An understanding of the oil & gas artificial lift industry

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for promoting LSI values and safety culture through effective demonstration and leadership, at all times
  • Responsible for steady growth in product and service revenue while taking accountability for service delivery and all expense management. Ensure a profitable business that meets budgets
  • Responsible for formal planning and coordination of field service activities while ensuring that all paperwork is fully completed, accurate, legible and submitted in a timely manner by self and employees
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining processes for inventory control, maintenance of equipment and facilities, along with all related administrative functions for the base operations
  • Responsible for supervision and staff training and providing coaching and mentoring to employees. Strong mechanical skills are required, as well as the ability to ensure safe and effective work practices and a safe working environment
